GYBA to induct Bossone into Hall of Fame


YOUNGSTOWN — John David Bossone will be inducted into the Greater Youngstown Bowling Association Hall of Fame on June 7, at the ITAM Centre on Meridian Road.

Bossone has been involved with bowling for more than 40 years starting at Mar-Hill Lanes.

He reached a high average of 250, high series of 819 and Bossone had 27 perfect games.

He learned to bowl at age 4 at Mar-Hill Lanes, which was owned by his parents, the late John and Judy Bossone. He bowled in two USBC/ABC national tournaments, three Ohio state tournaments, 17 city tournaments and four Youngstown Masters.

He’s been a PBA member since 2007.

He’s been league president of the Window World league at Boardman Lanes from 2001-present.

Bossone was inducted into the Curbstone Coaches Hall of Fame for bowling in 2008.
