“Community Connection” (6:30 a.m., WFMJ-TV 21): The Click It or Ticket campaign will be launched Monday to encourage drivers to wear their seat belts or face a fine. Susan Viars of Mahoning Safe Communities and Lt. Michael Harmon of the Ohio State Patrol will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss a joint venture with local restaurant Chick-Fil-A to reward drivers for wearing their seat belts. It’s titled “Click It and Win!” Every driver caught wearing their seat belt by police will get a coupon for a free chicken sandwich.
May is Stroke Awareness Month, and Roy Thomas of the American Heart Association will give information about the signs of strokes and what to do if you experience them.
Finally, Pastor Lewis Macklin and Atty. Charles Mickens from Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity will discuss the annual Judge Nathaniel Jones Community Celebration, to take place May 22. The guest speaker will be Dr. Julius Earls, executive director of NASA’s Glenn Center in Cleveland.
