Dillard guilty on all charges in 2008 murder

LISBON — A jury in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court today found Eric Dillard, 31, guilty of all charges in the 2008 shooting death of an East Liverpool man.

Dillard was charged with murder with a gun specification and illegal possession of a weapon because of a previous drug conviction.

He could get 15 years to life in prison on the murder charge; up to three years for the gun specification charge, which would be added to the murder charge; and between one to five years on the weapon possession charge.

Dillard shot Jamie Farley, 35, of East Liverpool, outside Dillard’s home on Commerce Street in Wellsville on April 22, 2008.

The men were business partners. Dillard had contended during the trial that he shot Farley in self-defense.
