ASSOCIATIONS
• William Penn Association, Branch 28, will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Eat’n Park Restaurant in Boardman. Summer events and bus trips will be discussed.
ATHLETIC GROUPS
• Girard High School Athletic Boosters will meet at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the high school cafeteria.
• The McDonald Sideliners will meet at 7 p.m. Sunday in the senior citizens room of the post office building.
CLUBS
• American Hungarian Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the clubhouse on Donald Avenue. The members’ picnic in June will be discussed, and dues will be collected at the door.
• Casa Savoia will meet for its May party at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Olive Garden in Boardman. Hosts of the event are Betty Fisher and Helen Speziale.
• Chapter CE of PEO Sisterhood will meet Wednesday at A La Cart in Canfield for a noon luncheon meeting. The program will be “Experiences of Teaching in Saudi Arabia” by Becky and Terry Murray. Arlene Wright and Ruth Stevenson will serve as hostesses.
• Kent State University Mothers Club will meet at noon Wednesday at the Olive Garden in Boardman. Plans will be completed for the 2009-2010 school year, scholarship winners will be honored, and there will be an afghan raffle. Raffle tickets and money should be turned in to Mary Schaade. • Mahoning County-Youngstown Chapter of Bereaved Parents of the USA, a national nonprofit self-help group that offers support, understanding and hope to bereaved parents and other family members, will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Park Vista, 1216 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. Lincoln Ave., Salem, will host a monthly Macular Degeneration Support Group on the second Thursday each month from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The support group will meet to share information and provide support to people with macular degeneration or caregivers helping people with low vision.
