YSU opens office of veterans affairs today
YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown State University has opened an Office of Veterans Affairs to assist returning members of the military who want to enroll for classes.
The office was developed in response to the new federal G.I. Bill for post-Sept. 11, 2001, veterans.
That bill will cover the cost of tuition at the university, which is now about $6,700 per year.
The office will assist with admissions, financial aide, registration, academic advising and tutoring.
