Trial date set for president of YSU classified employees union


YOUNGSTOWN — An 11 a.m. June 22 trial date has been set in municipal court for the president of The Association of Classified Employees union at Youngstown State University.

Ivan Maldonado is charged with a misdemeanor count of menacing in connection with a telephone call authorities said he made to another ACE union member.

The woman who received that call told police she felt threatened.

The university has placed Maldonado on paid administrative leave pending its own investigation in the case.
