Mancini to announce own label at area winery
POLAND — Former boxer Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini will be at L’uva Bella Winery, 6597 Center Road, Friday to announce his own wine label. The winery will produce and distribute the wine.
The winery, which is owned by Frank and Ruth Sergi, will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. to celebrate its official opening. Mancini will be on hand for that and an event from 2 to 5 p.m. to unveil his new wine.
Frank Sergi also owns M&M Wine Cellar, which has provided grapes and juice to area winemakers since 2001.
First Niles Financial declares dividend
NILES — First Niles Financial has declared a dividend of 16 cents a share on common stock and 17 cents a share on preferred class A stock.
The dividend will be payable June 19 to shareholders of record on June 5.
First Niles is the parent company of Home Federal Savings and Loan Association of Niles.
