WEDNESDAY

• American Legion Post 290, state Route 14, Columbiana, has its kitchen open to the public from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. Specials are, today, wings from 6 to 9 p.m.; and Friday, all-you-can-eat fish, macaroni and cheese, fries, coleslaw, dessert and beverage meals from 4 to 7, cost $9 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. • Otterbein United Methodist Church, 1128 State Road, Champion, will have a chicken dinner from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Meals include a chicken quarter, scalloped potatoes, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw, and dessert. THURSDAY

• Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

• VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include meatballs, salad, Italian bread, and coffee or tea. The cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children under 12, and $6.25 for carryouts.

FRIDAY

• Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 :30 to 11 a.m. Friday at (330) 755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

• Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert is additional $1.50. Containers are provided for takeouts. Orders are accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005.

• Potato and cheese pirogi will be sold at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown. To order, call (330) 799-0084 after 6 p.m. Thursday or after 8 a.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 per bag of one dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Use the side entrance.

• St. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pizza and other Italian treats. Orders may be placed by calling (330) 746-9577 from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 1 p.m.

• Potato, prune and kraut pirogi will be sold at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell. Cost is $4.50 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at (330) 755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

• St. Paul the Apostle Church, Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders can be called to (330) 542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. The final sale of the season will be May 22.

• St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at (330) 747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. SATURDAY

• Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave. ext., North Lima, will serve chicken barbecue dinners from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. The menu includes half a chicken, baked potato, applesauce, green beans, pie and beverage. • Deerfield American Legion, 1517 state Route 14, will serve a breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. at the post home. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children, and the menu consists of pancakes, sausage, eggs, sausage gravy over biscuits and a beverage. Proceeds will benefit the American Legion scholarship fund.

• Heritage Presbyterian Church, 1951 Mathews Road, Youngstown, will serve a Swiss steak dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Proceeds will go to Hospice in memory of Bonnie Kay.

• Vienna Presbyterian Church, 4295 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will be selling spaghetti dinners from 4-6 p.m. The menu includes meatballs, salad and dessert, and takeouts will be available. The prices are $6 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.

SUNDAY

• A chicken paprikash dinner will be served by Circle of Serbian Sisters of Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 54 Laird Ave., Youngstown, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Serbian Memorial Hall. • First United Methodist Church of Mineral Ridge , 3711 Main St., Mineral Ridge, will have a roast beef dinner and salad bar from 12:30 to 3 p.m.. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children.

• City chicken dinners will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus parish hall, corner of Cameron and Gibson avenues, Youngstown. The menu will include parsley potatoes, vegetable, applesauce, bread, dessert and beverage. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 6 to 12. Those under 6 eat free. Takeouts will be available. • The Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, will host a dinner of roast port, potatoes, kraut, applesauce, rolls, coffee or tea, and desert. The price is $8.50. Takeout will be available.

• An all-you-can eat pasta dinner from noon to 3 p.m. at Buena Vista Cafe, 1305 Buena Vista Ave., Warren, will benefit the laid-off Warren City police officers and their families. Dinner includes meatballs, bread and butter, salad and dessert. Prices are $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. Carryouts will be available.

• A pancake breakfast will be served from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Social Hall, 465 New Road, Austintown, by the St. Joseph Men’s Club. Meals will include eggs, sausage, toast, coffee and juice and all-you-can-eat pancakes. The cost is $5 for adults, $3 for children 6 to 12, and free for those under 6.

• The Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve breakfasts of eggs, sausage or ham, hash browns, pancakes, freedom toast, and coffee or tea from 8 a.m. to noon. Meals are $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12.

UPCOMING

• Kinsman United Methodist Church trustees will have their chicken and biscuit dinner between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. May 20 at 8362 Main St., Kinsman. Tickets are $7 for adults, $3.50 for children 4 to 12 and free for children 3 and under. Takeouts can be ordered by calling (330) 876-5641. The church is handicap accessible.
