Teens charged after fight at Canfield home to return to court in June
CANFIELD — The 11 teens involved in a fight outside a city home in February will return to court in June.
The young men met behind closed doors with their lawyers at Mahoning County Area Court in Canfield Wednesday evening to discuss aggravated trespass charges.
The charges were brought against them during a fight at Michael Malvasi Jr.’s Timber Run Drive home during the early morning of Feb. 22.
Kyle White, 18, of Boardman; Dominic Jackett, 18, of Youngstown; Dan McGlone, 18, of Boardman; Matthew McWilson, 18, of Youngstown; Peter Bernat, 19, of Youngstown; Nicholaos Frangopoulos, 18, of Poland; Owen Timlin, 18, of Youngstown; Michael Thomas, 18, of Boardman; Adam Wheeler, 18, of Poland; and Scott Johnson, 18, of North Jackson; are charged with aggravated trespass.
Additionally, McWilson, White, Johnson and Frangopoulos are charged with assault.
Malvasi Jr. is also charged with assault for an incident that occurred at about 12:30 a.m. Feb.22 when he reportedly punched Jackett on Fox Haven Drive in the township.
The court’s bailiff said a second status hearing will be scheduled for sometime in June, but a definitive date hasn’t been set.
