Boardman man sings National Anthem tonight for Obama appearance

When the expected crowd of 70,000 settles down in Sun Devil Stadium in Arizona tonight to hear President Barack Obama deliver the commencement address for Arizona State University, it will be the rich baritone voice of a Boardman man they will hear singing the National Anthem.

Christopher Hutton, who is graduating from ASU with a master’s degree in voice performance and pedagogy, was selected by the university’s voice faculty to sing both the National Anthem and the school’s alma mater at the event.

The commencement is being broadcast live over ASU’s Website at www.asu.edu, starting at 10 p.m. Eastern time.
