Authorities search for missing Ohio boy

NORWALK, Ohio (AP) — Authorities are looking for a missing 13-year-old northern Ohio boy who they say kept a diary and had made threats toward several faculty members and students at his school.

The Huron County sheriff’s office in Norwalk, about 50 miles west of Cleveland, identified the boy as Calvin Riley of the Norwalk suburb of Bronson Township. Police said today that a .22-caliber rifle is believed to be missing from the boy’s home and a white pickup truck had been taken from near the home. They believe the missing items are connected to Riley.

As a safety precaution, Norwalk Catholic School canceled classes today for the 760 students at a complex that includes its elementary, junior and senior high school and early child education program.
