Martial arts program ends with graduation

BOARDMAN — West Boulevard Elementary School students, who completed a six-week After School Master Park Martial Arts Program, were honored during graduation ceremonies May 3 at Master Park Martial Arts International, 224 Boardman-Canfield Road.

Graduating during the 2 to 2:50 p.m. ceremony were the following students: Justin Clark, Ciara Hancher, Nathan Fleming, Nicholas Geraci, Noah Veauthrie, and Lindsey Osborne.

Class members receiving Best Student awards were Osborne and Clark.

During a 3:30 to 4:20 p.m. ceremony the following graduated: Monty Thomas, Abigale Partlow, Abigale Culp, Justin Culp, Ryan Babb, Heidi Partlow, Nathan Fleming, Jacob Van Natta, Dominick Van Natta and Mark Thomas.

Class members receiving Best Student awards were Abigale Culp and Jacob Van Natta.

Alphonse A. Cervello, principal at the West Boulevard school, teachers, and families and friends of the graduates attended the ceremonies, where the students received awards and certificates and displayed their martial arts skills.
