YOUNGSTOWN — Clifton Michael Shimer, 203 Lake Shore Drive, Davenport, Fla., and his bride, the former Laura Jean Coristin, 8305 Narcoossee Road, Orlando, Fla., honeymooned in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, following their 4 p.m. April 17 wedding at St. Matthias Church.
Monsignor Peter Polando officiated for the daughter of Carla C. Coristin, 6747 Bristlewood Drive, Boardman, and the late Michael Coristin, and the son of Linda Oswald of St. Petersburg, Fla., and R. Tim Shimer of Chalfont, Pa.
Escorted by Bill Stana, the bride wore a strapless white gown.
Aqua gowns were worn by Michelle Wiechkoske, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Carmela Kiraly, Maria Kiraly, Erica Cassese, Olga Montana, Kristin McCloud, Julie Sardich, Katie Reinke, Maren Novotny, and Susan Tolnai. Flower girls were Mia Stana, Gia DiVincenzo, and Emma Cunningham.
Jeffrey Shimer was best man, and groomsmen were Joe Cassese, Frank Cassese, Michael Provenzale, Guy Montana, Matthew Shimer, Darnell Evans, David Phillips, Paul Patton, and Andrew Wiechkoske. Ring bearer was Louie Gentile.
The bride, a language arts teacher at Ascension Catholic School in Melbourne, Fla., graduated from St. Mary’s College in Indiana with a bachelor’s degree in English literature.
The groom earned a degree in marketing from West Virginia University and is an account manager with Moulding and Millwork in Orlando.
