Former Giant Eagle in Cornersburg will become Dollar General

CORNERSBURG — The former Giant Eagle store here is about to be turned into a Dollar General store.

Cocca Development of Boardman bought the Canfield Road property and remodeling work will begin soon, said Scott Lewis, vice president of Edward J. Lewis, a real estate firm that handled the sale.

Records on file with the Mahoning County Auditor show that Cocca bought the site last week for $550,000 from MN Realty Co., an investment company which had owned it since 1978.
