LITTER-FREE: More than a mile of Kirk Road, between state Route 46 and Whispering Pines Drive, is practically litter-free as a result of a cleanup effort promoted by the Rotary Club of Austintown. Fifteen members of the club and their friends spent the morning of April 25 picking up paper, cans, bottles and general refuse from the area. The cleanup campaign is conducted as a community service twice a year in conjunction with the Green Team, which provides bags and vests for the participants. Among those joining the force are, from left, Aleah Pflug, Katie Rein and her father, Karl Rein, a Rotary member.
