Sluggish car sales continue in Valley

New vehicle sales in the Mahoning Valley continued to be sluggish in April.

Dealers in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties sold 1,527 vehicles last month, which was 43 percent lower than the 2,683 sold in April 2008.

Last month’s total also was down from the month before. Dealers sold 1,645 in March 2009.
