Putiganos mark anniversary with family and friends
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Putigano
NILES — The 60th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Putigano, 701 Summit St., was observed on May 9 during a dinner party that took place at 6 p.m. at Caff Capri in Boardman.
Invitations for the event were extended by their family, Bobbie and Joe Mancino of Poland and Louis and Denise Putigano of Columbus. There are nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren in the family.
The former Victoria Saborse and Mr. Putigano were united in marriage on May 7, 1949, at St. Anthony Church in Brier Hill, Youngstown. They are members of St. Rose Church in Girard.
Prior to retiring in 1982, Mrs. Putigano was employed as a coiler with Packard Electric in Warren. She is a member of the Mount Carmel Society and golf and bowling leagues.
Mr. Putigano served with the U.S. Army. He retired as an inspector from U.S. Steel in McDonald, and is a member of the Italian-American Veterans Center and golf leagues.
