MERCER, PA. —The lawn at the Children’s Aid Society of Mercer County, 350 W. Market St., will provide the setting for a flower, yard and bake sale to be sponsored by Friends of Children’s Aid Society. Proceeds from the event will support the continuation of the agency’s programs and services for the community.
Hours for the sale will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in conjunction with Mercer Mania Day. Refreshments will be available.
Featured will be annuals, perennials, custom-designed porch planters filled with flowers, porch baskets filled with geraniums, kitchen baskets containing lettuce and herbs, and vegetable plants.
Also available both days will be homemade breads, rolls, cookies, pies and candy, and sugar-free bakery products.
Flowers may be preordered by calling (724) 662-4730 or by fax at (724) 662-4295, and will be available for pickup after noon Thursday or during sale hours.
Donations of garage sale items (no adult clothing) will be appreciated and will be accepted at the sale site on Wednesday.
Through its fundraisers, the Friends of Children’s Aid Society has contributed $11,833 to the Children’s Aid Society, which is celebrating 120 years of service. For more information call (724) 662-4730.
