Window cleaning 101

Filthy windows detract from a home’s beauty. Simonton Windows says the following:

Never wash windows with a high- pressure spray.

Use a soft cloth or long-handled soft bristle brush and mild detergent instead.

Vacuum screens and around edges of weather stripping to remove dirt.

Dip cotton swabs in vinegar and use to clear build-up on edges and corners. Then rinse with water.

Slip old, white cotton socks on your hands and “feel your way” to clean windows.
