YOUNGSTOWN — A 22-year-old Thornton Avenue man has been indicted on aggravated burglary and rape charges with firearm specifications.
The Mahoning County grand jury handed up the indictment against Oshah M. Porch on the first-degree felony charges for alleged offenses committed against a woman May 1 in Youngstown.
Each charge carries a three-to-10-year prison term upon conviction. Three consecutive years would be added to his prison time if he’s also convicted of using a firearm while committing one or both crimes.
Trumbull County records show Porch was sentenced Feb. 13, 2007, to two years in prison for kidnapping, felonious assault and misdemeanor domestic violence. He was released from prison in November 2008 and put on three years’ probation.
Having been arrested May 1, Porch remains in Mahoning County Jail after Judge Robert Milich of Youngstown Municipal Court declined to set bond after hearing about Porch’s criminal record.
