TCI honors two as employee, corrections officer of the year

LEAVITTSBURG — Two employees of the Trumbull Correctional Institution have been honored as corrections officer of the year and employee of the year for 2009.
Ronald Pedaline of Vienna, who began work at the prison in 1999 as a food service employee and became a corrections officer in 2000, was named corrections officer of the year.
Pedaline is active in the Relay For Life and serves on several committees within the prison, such as employee activity recognition and hostage negotiations.
He and his wife, Mary Jo, have two children, Josh and Nicole, who live in the Columbus area.
Lt. Eric Jamieson of Niles was named employee of the year. Jamieson began his career at TCI in 1997 as a corrections officer and was promoted to lieutenant in 2004.
He now oversees the Rules Infractions Board and is commander of TCI’s Special Response Team and is instructor for firearms and chemical munitions.
He and his wife, Sharon, have two sons, Joshua and Brett.
