WARREN — Elizabeth K. Gilliam and Jay B. Ference were married at 2 p.m. Sept. 6 at North-Mar Church by The Rev. Paul Worley.

The bride is a daughter of Ray and Carol Gilliam of Durst Clagg Road, Cortland. Parents of the groom are Francis and Sharon Ference of Candy Lane, Hermitage, Pa.

The bride wore a ball gown with extra-full skirt and chapel-length train. The portrait collar extended into cap sleeves embellished with silk roses at the edge of the shoulder.

Wearing navy-blue gowns were the bride’s matron of honor, Heather Lindsay, and bridesmaids Tara Gilliam, Tammy Crawford, Jessica Walker and Amanda Stephens. Twin flower girls were Samantha and Ella Gracenin.

Kurt Ference was best man. Groomsmen were John Hanish, William Cornell, Travis Adams and Russell Warner. Ushers were Ryan and Aaron Gilliam, Erin Lehaney, and Dan Sweeney. Serving as ring bearer was Cameron Niemi.

A reception followed at the Trumbull Country Club, and the couple honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

The bride earned a bachelor’s degree in office technology from Kent State University Trumbull Campus. She is employed at the 910th Youngstown Air Reserve Station in Vienna as a human resources assistant.

The groom earned a bachelor’s degree in aerospace technology at KSU. Capt. Ference is also employed at the Youngstown Air Reserve Station as a pilot.
