Impact of economy on some Ohio school levy campaigns:
Tipp City: Campaign is operating on a $4,000 budget — half of what it spent on a failed campaign in November — and is relying on a door-to-door effort by scores of parent volunteers.
Sugarcreek Township: Citizens for Sugarcreek Schools says campaign is running on a $1,500 budget compared to the usual $5,000 raised for past campaigns.
Springboro: After four levy defeats in a row, Springboro schools turned their levy campaign over to a group of parent-volunteers who have developed and financed their own strategy.
