Run for food pantry scheduled in Warren

WARREN — SCOPE, 220 W. Market St., will be the setting from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 16 for a Stock the Shelves food pantry run that will cover three distinct bridges, stops en route, and conclude with a picnic dinner at SCOPE.

Preregistration is $15 ($5 per passenger). Free pins go to the first 100 riders to register with Juanita James at (330) 399-8846. Waiver signing will be from 9 to 10:30 on day of the run. Coffee and pastries will be served and the first rider out will be at 10:45, with the last going out at 11:30.

Awards will be presented for oldest rider, largest group, most cans of food, best of show, slow bike race, and Hover-Round Scooter Chair obstacle race.

In conjunction with the run, the Riverside Railroad Train Club, 220 W. Market Street, will have an open house from 1 to 6 p.m. Weather permitting, guests will have an opportunity to visit the club’s garden railroad the following weekend.
