PERI meeting planned for June 11 in Rootstown

ROOTSTOWN — Ohio Public Employee Retirees Inc. District 11 will have its annual district meeting June 11 at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine and Pharmacy, 4209 state Route 44.

Presiding will be Jack Murphy, OPERI District 11 representative. The program will be OPERS pensions and benefits, given by Chriss DeRose, CEO of OPERS.

This annual meeting is open to all OPERS recipients at a cost of $15, which must be received no later than June 1. Make checks payable to OPERI Chapter 63 and mail to Cheryl Ballard, treasurer, 3118 New Milford Road, Atwater OH 44201.

Registration will begin at 9 a.m. The meeting will begin at 10 a.m., and a buffet lunch will begin at noon.

The meeting will continue at 1 p.m. for the election of the District 11 representative and the drawing of door prizes. The gathering will adjourn at 2 p.m., allowing additional time to meet with exhibitors.
