April 24

Disorderly conduct: A 24-year-old Youngstown man was arrested for disorderly conduct during a traffic stop at Indian Lake Boulevard and Fairview Avenue.

April 25

Drug abuse: Police arrested a 21-year-old Austintown man on charges of drug abuse and possession of dangerous drugs at the Dairy Queen, 101 S. Broad St., after they found 2.5 grams of marijuana in a plastic bag, five 800-mg tablets of Ibuprofen, a pipe containing marijuana residue and a rolling-paper machine.

Crack: Police arrested a 46-year-old Youngstown woman on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia after police found a crack pipe with crack residue in it, in a vehicle on Hilltop Boulevard.

April 27

Shoplifting: Police arrested a 39-year-old Canton woman at Giant Eagle, 525 E. Main Street, for shoplifting Tylenol, razor blades and stool softener. A 43-year-old Canton man was also arrested for stealing Simply OJ singles, marinara sauce, stromboli, candy and jelly beans.

April 30

Drug abuse: Police arrested a 29-year-old Canton man on Lisbon Street on charges of drug abuse of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and a pipe/bowl.

Falsification: Police arrested a 44-year-old Youngstown man who was walking in the 200 block of East Main Street for giving the wrong Social Security, a false identity and false date of birth. A warrant had also been issued for his arrest for failure to appear in County Court.

AUSTINTOWN

April 27

Assault: A woman at an apartment in the 5000 block of Callaway Circle reported her boyfriend choked her until she was unconscious and threw her against a wall, causing her to hit picture frames that broke. She was cut by the glass.

Theft: An iPhone was stolen at AT&T, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Lost or stolen: A checkbook was reported missing at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal damaging: Spray-paint damage was reported to the Hynes Steel building, 3760 Oakwood Ave.

Theft: $63 in cash was stolen at CitiFinancial, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Telecommunications harassment: A woman reported a former boyfriend telephoned her at her home demanding return of property and then called nine more times in the 200 block of North Edgehill Avenue.

Fraud: $58.01 was taken from the victim’s bank account at a home in the 100 block of Aldrich Road.

Menacing: A threatening telephone call was made to an apartment in the 1000 block of Compass West apartments.

Theft: $55.53 in fuel was stolen from Certified Oil, 825 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

April 28

Breaking and entering: A lawn mower was stolen from a garage in the 6000 block of Kirk Road.

Animal complaint: A woman in the 300 block of Forest Hill Drive was charged with failure to confine her dog.

Telephone harassment: A man from the 4000 block of Burkey Road reported that another man keeps calling his work cell phone and leaving threats. He said the calls have been occurring over the last two months.

Aggravated menacing: A teenage male resident of the 4000 block of Claridge Drive reported receiving a threatening text message from another male warning him not to text-message his girlfriend, and threatening to shoot him and his parents.

Theft: Two female residents of an apartment in the 1000 block of Paisley Avenue said they had scheduled repairs on their apartment and after the maintenance crews came in, medications were found to be missing, including prescription painkillers.

Theft: A bicycle was taken from a home in the 300 block of Westminster Avenue.

Assault: A 13-year-old student at Austintown Middle School, 800 S. Raccoon Road, and his mother reported to police that the boy was stabbed in the hand three times with a pencil by another male student in class.

Theft: A 17-year-old girl stole a $40 pair of earrings at Wal-Mart before being caught. She was released to her mother.

Aggravated robbery: A man said he was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot in the 900 block of Compass West Apartments by another man with what the victim described as a revolver. Stolen was a Samsung cell phone and $30 in cash.

April 29

Telephone harassment: A man is a suspect in telephone harassment at an apartment in the 2000 block of South Raccoon Road.

Criminal damaging: A door glass was broken at the AFSCME Hall, 150 S. Four Mile Run Road.

Fraud: A man reported his roommate of nine years at a home in the 4000 block of Lanterman Road had opened three credit-card accounts in his name with a $21,000 balance. The accounts were closed.

Aggravated menacing: A man reported that when he returned his daughter to her home in the 200 block of Sprucewood Court that his ex-wife’s boyfriend threatened to kill him.

Barking dogs: A woman was issued a summons for barking dogs at home in the 300 block of Forest Hill Drive.

April 30

Aggravated robbery: A man robbed a woman at gunpoint in the parking lot of Austin Woods Nursing Home, 4780 Kirk Road. He stole $50 in cash, a Virgin mobile phone and a set of car keys, and grabbed the woman by the arm and threatened to take her, too. He was chased by police in his vehicle starting at Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave. and down Mahoning Avenue ending at Plazaview Court in Youngstown, where he fled on foot.

Theft: Medications and apartment and mailbox keys were stolen from an apartment in the 1000 block of Fountain Square. Drugs stolen were painkillers and anti-anxiety medicine.

Theft: A 2008 Commercial box trailer was stolen at the Rebel Truck lot, 5335 Seventy-Six Drive.

Fraud: A man from a home in the 1000 block of West Hampton Drive reported he applied online for a $6,000 personal loan and was approved. He was instructed he would have to make the first five months’ payments, and to send $721.25 to a lender in Cleveland, but has not received the loan and cannot get the loan officer to return his phone calls. His check was cashed.

May 1

Theft: A gold ring was left behind and not recovered at By the Beach Tanning, 5521 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A 15-year-old female from Youngstown suspect is accused in a theft at Wal-Mart. She took nail polish, a cell phone, a notebook and hair coloring.

Theft: Two vehicles were entered and two compound bows were taken at a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.

Theft: Miscellaneous compact discs were stolen from an auto at a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.

Assault: Two women were assaulted by a man at Rumors Lounge, 104 N. Meridian Road, and their house and car keys were also taken.

May 2

Criminal damaging: Outdoor lights were damaged at a home in the 4000 block of Rita Avenue.

Criminal mischief: Flowers were pulled out at a home in the 3000 block of Cannon Road.

Criminal mischief: Items were knocked over at a home in the 1000 block of Idaho Road.

Felonious assault: A male and female were assaulted with a bat at a home in the 1000 block of Bexley Drive.

Criminal damaging: A bedroom window was damaged at a home in the 90 block of Westminster Avenue.

May 3

Drug offense: A Campbell man was charged with possession of marijuana, Ecstacy and drug paraphernalia at the Wedgewood Plaza, 1743 S. Raccoon Road.

Criminal damaging: A house window was broken out at a home in the 40 block of Kenmar Court.

Theft: A semi tractor-trailer was broken into and the seal on the trailer was broken at Pilot truck lot, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Missing: A men’s wallet was reported lost or stolen at North Four Mile Run Road.

Criminal damaging: Rocks were thrown at a vehicle door at a home in the 200 block of North Edgehill Avenue.

Burglary: Two televisions were stolen from an apartment in the 900 block of Compass West Apartments.

Theft: Car keys were taken by a girlfriend at an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Theft: A car stereo was stolen from an auto at an apartment in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Boulevard.

Disorderly conduct: A man was issued a summons for disorderly conduct on Burkey Road.
