WARREN — A 52-year-old city man was treated at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital on Saturday after he was shot five times in the legs and punched in the face by three men.
They attacked him on Parkman Road near West Market Street.
The man said he was walking south on Parkman when two or three men got out of their car at about 9:40 a.m., asked if he was “Frank,” which he said he was not.
They then punched him in the face and kicked him, and then one of the men shot him.
He had one gunshot wound in his left calf and four to his right thigh, police said, and was taken to the hospital by his mother, where he was treated in the emergency room. The hospital had no record of him Monday morning.
Ambulance personnel also took a woman to St. Joseph Health Center after she and another woman were robbed and assaulted in the parking lot of a business in the 600 block of Parkman Road Northwest at about 7:25 p.m. Saturday.
The women, age 36 and 18, from Warren, were robbed of their purses by individuals who then got into a Dodge Durango and fled. The thieves got about $500 in cash and a cell phone.
The younger woman was seriously injured in the attack, police said. The hospital had no record of the woman Monday morning.
A 48-year-old Warren woman told police she was stabbed in both arms by a man while she was walking through the parking lot of a business in the 1000 block of North Park Avenue Northeast about 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
The woman said she walked past a white car, and a man got out, came up behind her and tried to cut her neck with a knife but instead cut her arms. She said she didn’t know why the attack occurred.
The woman was taken to St. Joseph Health Center for treatment, police said, but the hospital had no record of her Monday morning.
