Wolves Club to award scholarships at dinner


YOUNGSTOWN — Five area high school students will be the recipients of scholarship grants to be presented by the Wolves Club, Den VI, during a Scholarship Banquet at 6 p.m. May 13 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Hall.

Each of the five will receive a four-year scholarship grant to Youngstown State University beginning in 2009.

Students who will be awarded the scholarships are:

UBen Carlile, Jackson Milton High School.

UMegan Harwell, Poland Seminary High School.

UAnthony Pilolli, Western Reserve High School.

USamantha Rovnak, Austintown Fitch High School

UJessica Shively, Jackson Milton High School.

In addition, the Wolves Club will award two $2,000 scholarships to local students attending St. Elizabeth Health Center School of Nursing.

Funds for the scholarships are derived from various events throughout the year and are matched by funds from Youngstown State University Foundation. The two entities have awarded $40,000 in scholarships this year.
