COLUMBIANA — Erik Kissel and Tyler Denmeade had two hits apiece and Denmeade had two RBIs for Columbiana. For Chaney, Franciso Morales and Matt Franklin each had two hits. In game two, Andrew Burdick had four RBIs and Erik Kissel knocked in three run for the winners. Kissel had three hits while Burdick and Josh Saverko had two hits apiece. Burdick and Kyle Shaffer each doubled. Hank Schlueter struck out six for the Clippers (14-3). Chaney is 4-13.

South Range 5, United 4

NORTH LIMA — With the score tied 4-4, Andy Lacefield’s single drove in Michael Thorpe with the winning run in the last of the seventh inning. Thorpe led of the seventh with a double, went to second when Don DeChellis was hit by a pitch, advanced to third on Jack Dawson’s sacrifice fly and came home on Lacefield’s hit. Mike Rohan had two RBIs and Vince Miller two singles for the Raiders (10-8, 6-3 Inter Tri-County League Tier One). Thorpe pitched a six-hitter with five strikeouts.

Hudson 11-10, Fitch 1-12

HUDSON — Jack Martin pitched a five-hitter while Forrest Johnson had a triple, single and four RBIs and Matt Ramsay two singles and two RBIs to lead Hudson over Austintown Fitch in the opener of a doubleheader. Martin is 2-0. Jason Bagoly slugged a three-run triple to highlight a four-run seventh inning to rally Austintown Fitch to the win in the nightcap. Bagoly also had two singles and four RBIs in all. Ricky Segesto had a three-run triple and finished with four RBIs for the Falcons (9-5), while Tony Koch contributed four singles and one RBI. Josh Foster got the mound win in relief and is 4-1. For Hudson (5-13), Forrest Johnson had two doubles and four RBIs and Anthony Callabreze a double, two singles and three RBIs.

Canfield 8, Tallmadge 8

CANFIELD — For Canfield, Cooper had two hits, Jared Turocy two hits and RBI and Dan Banna had two hits and two RBIs in a game postponed by rain after seven innings. Jake Kucek added three hits, Justin Vrabel had three RBIs and Tom Cheslik had two RBIs. Matt Keen had two hits for Tallmadge.
