Phantoms fall, 5-2

MASON CITY, Iowa — The St. Louis Bandits pounced on Mahoning Valley Phantoms goalie Jordan Tibbett for four goals in their first 20 shots in Friday’s 5-2 victory at the North American Hockey League’s Robertson Cup Tournament.

The win puts the Bandits, the two-time defending NAHL champions, in Sunday’s championship game,

The Phantoms are in second place in the tournament, but can only advance to the title contest if the Wenatchee Wild lose in regulation on Saturday against the Bismarck Bobcats.
