Local people receive state honors

YOUNGSTOWN — Martin A. Cegan, weights and measures inspector with the Mahoning County Auditor’s office, has been installed as president of the Ohio Weights and Measures Association; and Henry P. Nemenz, a Mahoning Valley grocer, has been named the retailer representative to the OWMA.

Cegan was sworn in Thursday at an association conference by Mahoning County Auditor Michael V. Sciortino.

The association is a statewide professional organization that helps develop and implement standards in weighing and measuring device regulation and commodity regulations.
