Cortland United Methodist Church youth group plans famine project


CORTLAND — The youth group at Cortland United Methodist Church, 155 N. High St., is participating in a 30-hour famine project planned from 12:30 p.m. today to 6:30 a.m. Saturday.

Students will construct a cardboard village to create awareness of the plight of the poor and homeless in America and around the world. Youth will fast for 30 hours.

The youth group is accepting donations, which will go to World Vision 30-Hour Famine Project to help hungry people worldwide.
