PanCAN volunteers sponsor bowling event

WARREN — PanCAN’s Purple Bowl 2009 has been scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m. April 26 at Echo Lanes, 2592 Elm Road NE. The event will benefit the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, a nonprofit organization, which provides public and professional education to raise awareness of pancreatic cancer and the need for research to find a cure.

There will be two hours of bowling, a 50-50 raffle, a Chinese auction and door prizes. Lunch will be donated by Sunrise Inn, Subway and Pepsi.

The cost is $20 for adults and $10 for children. Those registering before April 12 will receive a T-shirt.
