GETTING IT RIGHT

It was incorrectly reported in Monday’s edition that the Struthers City law director’s secretary received a pay increase for 2009. Also, as a clarification, the tax commissioner received a pay increase for 2009 because of a city ordinance that calls for department heads, clerical staff and the city hall maintenance employee to receive 80 percent of the full salary for their positions the first year of employment, 90 percent the second year and 100 percent the third year. The tax commissioner is in step two of the three-step process.
