Amy Sponcil, Brent Shaffer plan a June wedding

NEW WATERFORD — Marjorie Sponcil, 46062 New England Square, New Waterford, announces the engagement of her daughter, Amy Sponcil, and Brent Shaffer, son of Carl and Molly Shaffer of Findlay.

Miss Sponcil, also the daughter of the late Gary Sponcil, resides at 919 Edison St. in Ashland, and Mr. Shaffer is a resident of 2423 S. Holland-Sylvania Road, Maumee.

The couple have planned to exchange vows in a 2:30 p.m. ceremony on June 13 in the presence of invited guests at Ashland First United Methodist Church in Ashland. A reception, also for invited guests, will follow at Plymouth-Shiloh Elementary School in Plymouth.

The bride-elect is a third-grade teacher at Plymouth-Shiloh Local Schools. She earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Ashland University.

The prospective groom is employed as a counselor at Four County Family Center in Wauseon. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Toledo and a master’s degree in counseling from Ashland Thelogical Seminary.
