BINGO, CARD PARTIES

• St. Jude Parish, 180 Seventh St., Columbiana, will sponsor a super bingo Sunday. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. for early birds and lunch. Games begin at 2. The $25 donation entitles players to free daubers, coffee and pop, cards for all games and a chance to win $3,400 in cash prizes, including a $1,000 guaranteed coverall. Specials will be sold separately. There will be a lunch counter and a bake and goodie sale.

CRAFT SHOWS

• Lordstown SCOPE will sponsor a Spring Fling craft show and plant sale from 1 to 6 p.m. Friday at 1176 Salt Spring Road, behind Lordstown Elementary School. FLEA MARKETS

• Newton Falls United Methodist Church, 336 Ridge Road, is accepting vendors for an inside flea market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 18. There will be a nonrefundable donation of $15 for an 8-foot table or $25 for two table spaces. Food will be available. For more information or to reserve a space by April 8, call (330) 872-7788.

• Youngstown Saxon Club has planned a flea market and luncheon for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 7 in the club ballroom, 719 S. Meridian Road. Attractions include household goods, clothing, tools, antiques, collectibles and children’s items. At 1 p.m. shoppers can fill a plastic bag for $1 each (except jewelry). Lunch will be available after 11 a.m. and will include takeouts. Menu items consist of hot dogs, German sauerkraut, sausage sandwiches, chips, coffee, soft drinks and dessert. Also available is the Saxon’s own chicken dumpling soup. Containers for takeout will be available. Proceeds benefit the memorial island fund.

FUNDRAISERS

• Shrine of Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted, 517 S. Belle Vista Ave., will have an Easter basket raffle and 50-50 drawing Sunday after noon Mass. Winners need not be present. Tickets are $1 or six for $5.

SALES

• First Christian Church of Girard, 140 E. Broadway, will have a trash and treasure sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

• Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore, 480 Youngstown-Poland Road, Struthers, is open Wednesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The ReStore carries a wide variety of furniture, including a large selection of couches and many large metal professional office desks; used building materials such as doors, windows, sinks, hardware and plumbing; lighting; home decor items; large and small appliances; electronics; toys; books and much more. All items are sold at low discount prices. ReStore takes donations and sells to the public, all to benefit Habitat for Humanity’s home-building program. • Lockwood United Methodist Church, 4570 Lockwood Blvd., Youngstown, will have a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to noon Friday.

• New Springfield Church of God, 3649 E. Garfield Road, will have a rummage sale. The hours will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, and a half-price day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, with lunch available both days. Saturday will be $1 a bag day from 9 to 11:30 a.m.

• North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will sponsor a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. There will be a lunch stand and bake sale.

• Salvation Army Thrift Store in Austin Center, Mahoning Avenue, Austintown, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. A variety of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and bric-a-brac is available at bargain prices.

TRIPS

• Trumbull County Travel Club is inviting anyone over 18 years of age to travel with the club on two one-day excursions in April. On April 15 there will be a trip to Ferrante’s Lakeview Inn in Greensburg, Pa., for a luncheon, followed by a performance by Cahal Dunne. The outing will cost $79 per person. On April 29 the trip will be to the Riverside Inn in Cambridge Springs, Pa., for lunch, a performance of “A Weekend Comedy” and tour of the inn. The cost is $58 per person. SPECIAL EVENTS

• OSU Master Gardeners has planned a 4th annual “Springtime at the Garden 2009” from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 9 on the grounds of Trumbull County Agricultural and Family Education Center, 520 W. Main St., Cortland. Free garden programs will take place throughout the day. Area crafters, antique and collectible dealers, herbalists, garden art vendors, and civic organizations are invited to participate.
