SCOPE Howland Senior Center, 8273 High St. N.E., Warren, has scheduled the following: Monday, pinochle club at 9 a.m., art class and bridge club at 10, Yoga at 12:30 p.m., and tap class at 2:30; Tuesday, “The Psychology of Aging” discussion group at 9 a.m., cards at 10 a.m., bingo at 12:30 p.m., and cornhole games at 3; Wednesday, Ohio Star Quilters at 9 a.m., cards at 10, and Red Hatters at 1 p.m., Thursday, computer class 9:30 a.m., needle arts at 10, Red Hatters at 12:30, Investment Club at 2 at Panera, line dancing at 3, cards at 6; and Friday, line dancing at 11:30.

A bus will leave at 7:30 a.m. from Howland SCOPE for a trip to the 40th National Quilting Association Quilt Show June 18 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. There will be a stop for breakfast. After the bus leaves the show at 5 p.m. there will be a dinner stop. The price is $38 and includes transportation and show tickets. Reservations and payment are due by Wednesday.

Trained AARP tax experts will offer free income tax assistance from 9 a.m. to noon each Monday and Friday. Appointments are required. Seniors are to take last year’s tax return and 2008 papers. This year, you may take the Standard Deduction and add property taxes you paid. Those who did not file for a Stimulus check last year may still do so this year.
