JFS worker pleads innocent to trafficking

STAFF REPORT

WARREN — Kennneth Greep, the Trumbull County Job and Family Services employee arrested at the JFS office last week, has been indicted on four counts of cocaine trafficking.

He pleaded innocent to the charges Thursday in common pleas court and remains free on bond.

Greep, 46, of Pleasant Valley Road in Vienna Township, could get up to 20 years in prison if convicted on the third-degree felonies.

He was arrested March 18 after an investigation by the Trumbull Ashtabula Group Law Enforcement Task Force dating back to the summer or early fall 2008.

Officers raided the home where Greep lived with his father, also on March 18.

Officers said they found suspected cocaine, cash and other items.

Greep’s indictment said he trafficked in cocaine Feb. 26 and March 5, 16 and 18.

The charges relating to March 18 could also cause Greep to forfeit the $2,200 in cash police seized.

A pretrial hearing is set for 9 a.m. April 29 before Judge W. Wyatt McKay.
