HARDING LIVE | Third quarter thoughts

Columbus Northland leads 55-44 with a quarter remaining.

- Harding's defense showed signs of life in that quarter. The Raiders' pressure is giving the Vikings fits. Unfortunately, Harding is getting out-rebounded 29-10, which is a big reason why the Raiders are behind.

- I said it in previous blogs, but Desmar Jackson has been absolutely phenomenal. He's unguardable one-on-one. He had two straight buckets midway through the third that cut it to 47-36. A Fred Williams free throw and bucket made it 47-39 with three minutes left. Finally, we have a ballgame.

- Mr. Basketball Jared Sullinger has been the third-best player on the floor behind Jackson and Northland's JD Weatherspoon.

- Harding has just five assists on 18 field goals. The Raiders have basically given up on running an offense.

- You can see Harding sophomore Tre' Brown growing in confidence with each game. He's a guy to watch over the next two years.
