Chamber annual meeting today at Mr. Anthony’s
BOARDMAN — The Youngstown-Warren Regional Chamber will have its annual meeting at 11:30 a.m. today at Mr. Anthony’s.
Bob Boniface, a Poland native who was the lead designer for the Chevrolet Volt, will speak. A Volt display car will be on hand.
The chamber also will pass out these awards: William G. Lyden Jr. Spirit of the Valley Award, David Sweet, president of Youngstown State University; Donald Cagigas Spirit of the Chamber Award, Brian Governor, president of P&W Marketing; and Chairman’s Political Achievement Award, U.S. Rep. John Boccieri of Alliance, D-16th.
Ohio company to make slippers for Levi Strauss
PICKERINGTON, Ohio — The iconic Levi’s brand is stepping into bedroom slippers and sandals with help from an Ohio company.
Dearfoam slippers producer R.G. Barry Corp. has announced a licensing agreement to develop and market casual footwear for San Francisco-based jeans maker Levi Strauss & Co.
R.G. Barry, based in the Columbus suburb of Pickerington, said Wednesday that Levi’s slippers will debut in stores this fall, followed by a line of sandals in the spring of 2010. The companies did not disclose terms of their deal.
