Miriam Chapter 278 has officer inspection

YOUNGSTOWN — The 101st Annual Inspection of Officers Of Miriam Chapter 278, Order of the Eastern Star, took place March 10 at the Youngstown Masonic Temple.

Heather and Christopher Brocious were initiated and became the newest members of the chapter.

Inspecting officer, Deputy Grand Matron of District 2 Holly Robinson of Billow Chapter, inspected the officers of Miriam Chapter on the proficiency of their work. The 2009 officers of Miriam Chapter are Susan Gillam, worthy matron; Russell W. Gillam Jr. worthy patron; Leeann Mason, associate matron; Allen Bohr, associate patron; Judy Elliott, secretary; Elberta Sott, treasurer; Merry Beth Vargo, conductress; Deborah Wagner, associate conductress; Carol Bohr, chaplain; Eugene Woodworth, marshal; Marion Brownlee, organist; Linda Woolford, Adah; Norma Wise, Ruth; Laurie Hernandez, Esther, Jean Layne, Martha; Wilma Payne, Electa; Jean Mook, warder; and Jean McClure, sentinal. Serving as pages are Blanche Costanza, Shirley Jacobs, Jean Olzak, Geraldine Thomspson, Louise Waddell and Alice Wilds.
