YOUNGSTOWN — Suspects in an attempted murder in Youngstown, a pair of Austintown gas station robberies and an Austintown house arson were indicted by the Mahoning County grand jury.

Charles E. Allen, also known as Charles Eric Hollis, 34, of East Philadelphia Avenue, was charged with attempted murder, three counts of felonious assault, two counts of menacing by stalking and one count of violation of a protection order.

The attempted-murder charge and two of the felonious assault counts pertain to an alleged knife attack on Jessica Jackson, 26, of Bonnie Place, Boardman, on Feb. 10 outside Allen’s home.

The third felonious-assault count pertains to an alleged knife attack on Ronald Pugh, also on Feb. 10.

The charge of violation of a protection order, pertaining to an order Jackson had obtained against Allen, also dates to Feb. 10. The menacing by stalking charges list Jackson as the victim and pertain to events between Jan. 1 and Feb. 3.

Jackson suffered stab wounds to her lips, neck, hands and left arm and lost a tooth in the Feb. 10 attack, after which she drove herself to St. Elizabeth Health Center for treatment.

As she drove away from Allen’s house, where she’d gone to pick up a friend, thinking Allen wasn’t there, Allen jumped into the bed of Jackson’s pickup truck and rode to the hospital, where he was arrested.

In another matter, the grand jury indicted Frank Munoz, 32, of Salt Springs Road, in Nov. 2 aggravated robberies at the BP Uni-Mart and Certified Oil, both on North Canfield-Niles Road in Austintown.

In another Austintown case, Harry J. Field, also known as Charles E. Field Jr., 57, formerly of 154 N. Turner Road, was indicted on an aggravated-arson charge in a Feb. 13 fire at his former residence.
