IF YOU GO Souper Supper

After attending a similar event at a Pennsylvania high school, art teacher Karen Weinberg decided to bring the Souper Supper fund raiser to Austintown Fitch High School. She said the goal of the dinner is to raise money to help buy food for needy families in the community.

When: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Where: Austintown Fitch High School cafeteria.

How much: $5.

Who benefits: Some families in the Austintown community who are struggling to make ends meet will get a food voucher to help put dinner on the table.

What you get: Each patron receives a handmade clay bowl that is theirs to keep; soup, bread, dessert and a drink.
