CANFIELD CITY

March 13

Drug abuse: Police arrested a 39-year-old Struthers man for drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia at Shields and Tippecanoe Roads after finding marijuana and a pipe in the suspect’s pants pockets.

Drug abuse: Police arrested an 18-year-old Warren woman at East Main Street and Fairground Boulevard after finding an open bottle of vodka in her car. She was charged with underage consumption of alcohol and drug abuse.

March 14

Drug abuse: Police arrested a 21-year-old Poland man for possession of marijuana in the 300 block of West Main Street.

March 15

Drug abuse: Police arrested a 20-year-old Berlin Center man on charges of drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia on West Main Street after they found marijuana and a pipe on him.

March 16

Drug abuse: Police arrested an 18-year-old Canfield woman on charges of drug abuse after they found marijuana and Endocet on her after a traffic stop at Sawmill Run Road and Stoneybrook Lane. Her father told police she was on multiple prescriptions. Police required that he bring her prescription paperwork to the police station to prove she was prescribed the Endocet.

Theft: Eagle Rental-Purchase of Boardman reported that a Fairground Boulevard resident made a $120 payment on a 52-inch Sharp LCD TV in December of 2008 to rent the television and had made no other payments since the television was delivered.

Assault: A 20-year-old man from South Broad Street reported to police that he had been assaulted on Hood Drive.

Theft: An East Main Street resident reported that he had purchased a motorcycle and the wrong motorcycle had been delivered to him but the seller would not remedy the situation.

Vandalism: A wooden boat on the playground at Fair Park, 330 Oak Street was vandalized with graffiti.

Drug abuse: A 42-year-old Salem man was arrested on charges of drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia on East Main Street. Police found 4.5 grams of marijuana and packs of rolling papers on him.

Theft: $90 in cash and two cans of chewing tobacco from a house on West Main Street.

March 16

Theft: A man is a suspect in a theft of $6 in gasoline and $14 in cash at Get Go, 5163 Mahoning Ave. He claimed to have pre-paid $20 for gas, and also came back for $14 in change.

Theft: A woman who resides in the 4000 block of Burgett Lane reported that two prescriptions for medication were stolen.

Recovered property: A purse with no identification in it was found at New Road and Edinburgh Drive.

Theft: $33.21 in gasoline was stolen at BP gas station, 5502 Mahoning Ave.

Personal injury: The owner of a dog from a home in the 5000 block of Webb Road was cited for her dog being loose. The dog bit a 5-year-old girl at a home in the 70 block of O’Malia Drive.

Theft: A Jennings 9mm handgun was stolen from a vehicle at a home in the 10 block of North Four Mile Run Road.

Theft: A man and a woman were arrested for stealing cologne at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: $170 in cash was stolen at Sunkiss Tanning, 1397 S. Canfield-Niles Road.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was scratched in the parking lot of Compass West Apartments, 1015 Compass West.

Theft: A minibike and a go-cart were stolen from a home in the 600 block of North Four Mile Run Road.

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to a victim’s account at a home in the 100 block of DeHoff Drive.

Assault: A male was assaulted by two other males in the roadway on Forest Hill Drive.

Burglary: A laptop and Xbox were taken from a home in the 1000 block of Rosemont Avenue.

Attempted burglary: Damage to a screen and sliding door were reported at a home in the 500 block of Wilcox Road.

Lost or stolen: A woman reported a purse as lost or stolen at an unknown location.

March 18

Telephone harassment: At a home in the 3000 block of Riblett Road.

Assault: A man and a woman were both transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment after being assaulted by a large crowd of men and women who followed them out of the bar at Rumors Lounge, 104 N. Meridian Road. Damage was also done to the victims’ car, when men in the crowd jumped on it attempting to get in.

Theft: A purse and it’s contents were stolen from the back room at Go-Go Cabaret, 5455 Clarkins Drive.

Burglary: A television was taken from a home in the 4000 block of New Road.

Theft: A man looked at a digital camera being held by its owner, the male victim, at state Route 46 and Ohltown Road, asked to purchase the camera, and then left in the vehicle with the stolen camera. He was supposed to give the other man a ride.

Trespassing: A boy was arrested for trespassing at the Austintown Library, 600 S. Raccoon Road, and released to his mother.

Aggravated menacing: A ma threatened to kill another man in the 4000 block of New Road.

Aggravated menacing: A man left a threatening message on a cell phone of another man at a home in the 1000 block of Rosemont Avenue.

Recovered property: A men’s wallet was recovered at Wal-Mart.

March 19

Theft: Stereo equipment was stolen from an auto at a home in the 1000 block of North Kimberly Avenue.

Theft: A GPS system was stolen from an auto at apartments in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Fraud: An ex-wife from 2004 opened a credit card account in the ex-husband’s name at a home in the 6000 block of Berry Blossom Drive. Telephone harassment: A woman reported that a former boyfriend made several unwanted calls to her residence over the past several weeks at a home in the 200 block of South Edgehill Ave.

Illegal dumping: Trash was placed in a cardboard trash bin at Adgate Florist, 4195 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Artifacts from a bookshelf were reported stolen at a home in the 4000 block of Nottingham Avenue.

Breaking and entering: A riding mower, mig welder, moped and air compressor were among items taken and a 1990 Ford Econoline van had damage to the steering column at a vacant building in the 100 block of South Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: A man reported that 80 prescription Clonazepam were taken from his home in the 1000 block of Idaho Road.

Theft: A 17-year-old male was arrested for theft at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave., and was released to his parents.

Drug abuse: Police arrested an Austintown man for possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and falsification at Mahoning Avenue and Four Mile Run Road.

Animal cruelty: Two dogs were taken by Animal Charity from a home in the 2000 block of Bainbridge Street.

Criminal damaging: Lawn damage was reported at a home in the 2000 block of Bainbridge Street.

Theft: Vicodin was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Woodmere Drive.

Tampering: The front of a video machine was pulled off to get to the coin receptacle at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Fraud: Fraudulent transactions to a debit card were reported at a home in the 2000 block of Fox Chase Drive.

Criminal damaging: Damage to a driver’s side mirror of a vehicle was reported at the Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road.

Assault: A woman is accused of assault at Pete and Charlie’s, 4176 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal damaging: A window was damaged at the Wedgewood Coin Laundry, 4286 New Road.

Disturbance: A fight broke out at Skate Zone, 5420 Mahoning Ave., with numerous adults involved.

Drug offense: An Austintown woman was arrested for possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia at Billy’s, 40 S. Meridian Road.

Aggravated menacing: Threats were made to cause serious at an apartment in the 1000 block of Compass West Apartments.
