Youngstown-area judge to sit with state Supreme Court Tuesday

COLUMBUS — Judge Mary DeGenaro of the 7th District Court of Appeals in Youngstown will be a visiting Ohio Supreme Court judge Tuesday.

Judge DeGenaro will hear oral arguments in place of Justice Evelyn Lundberg Stratton, who recused herself from National Union Fire Insurance v. Richard O. Wuerth et, al.

In this Summit County case, the state’s top court agreed to decide whether a legal malpractice claim can be maintained directly against a law firm when all of the relevant principals and employees have either been dismissed from the lawsuit or were never sued.
