Warren schools off Friday for semi-final basketball match

WARREN — This Friday’s classes in the Warren City School District have been canceled so that students and staff can travel to Columbus to support the Warren G. Harding High School basketball team in its semi-final match of the 2009 boys state basketball tournament.

The game is scheduled for 5:15 p.m. at the Schottenstein Center at Ohio State University.

The school board has adjusted the school calendar to move the final day of classes to June 8 to ensure the district complies with the number of school days required by law.
