ENERGY REDUCTIONS

Electricity usage

Youngstown State University has been able to substantially reduce the campus use of electricity over the last two years by installing energy-efficient lighting in all of its facilities. A usage breakdown by year shows:

2004-05: 43.2 million kilowatt hours

2005-06: 44.1 million kilowatt hours

2006-07: 41.1 million kilowatt hours

2007-08: 40 million kilowatt hours
