Shadows will follow professionals Monday


AUSTINTOWN — In conjunction with its focus on vocational education, Rotary Club of Austintown will provide members of Fitch Interact Club with the opportunity to “shadow” professionals Monday.

After spending the morning with their hosts, the students and their mentors will attend a noon meeting of the Rotary Club at the Saxon Club, where observations made throughout the day will be discussed.

The students have been scheduled as follows:

•In the medical field — Bethany Mattern will be at the Austintown Emergency Room with Dr. Vincent Marino and Fran Blatchford; Samantha Tharp will be assisting Dr. James Shina; Aseel Ramahi will be hosted by Dr. John Vargo; Andrea Dockry will be at Youngstown Orthopaedic Center; and Nicole Pavlichich and Erug Arif will be hosted by B.J. Panchik at Forum Health’s Austintown Immediate Care Unit.

•In the field of education — Samantha Niznik will be at Watson Elementary with Robin Krempasky; Gina Cheff will visit Ruth Murosko at Frank Ohl; and Nicole Bakos will visit Nicole Casaccia at Austintown Middle School.

•In the pastry and food industry field — Autumn Krempasky will visit Rotarian Frank Santisi at his Mahoning Avenue location, and April Krempsky will be studying wedding planning with Stephanie Volpini-Hann at Something New Florist.

•In the field of government and education — Kara Mort will spend the day with Assistant Mahoning County Prosecutor Marty Desmond, and Noor Ramahi will be with Dr. Charles Cooper in the biology department at Youngstown State University.
