Renewal of vows and dinner dance mark Grantz 50th

GIRARD — William and Shirley Grantz, of 2501 Beech St., marked their 50th wedding anniversary with a renewal of their vows and a dinner dance for invited guests on Feb. 7 at the Fifth Season Banquet Center in Mineral Ridge.
The couple’s family includes Tammy and Ed Pietruszka of Boardman, Terri and Bob Hernandez of Mineral Ridge, and Tawni and Steve Bouch of Salisbury, Pa. The couple’s six grandchildren are Steven and Preston Hernandez, Victoria and Zack Pietruszka and Amanda and Mackenzie Bouch.
The Hernandezes and the Bouches hosted the celebration, which was treated as a wedding, complete with grandchildren participating as attendants and officiated by a relative, Tim Amos.
Numerous out-of-town guests attended, along with original maid of honor Sandra Russell McBride.
Mr. Grant and the former Shirley Pierce were married Feb. 6, 1959 at Ohltown Methodist Church in Mineral Ridge.
The Grants both are members of the Wednesday Senior Bowling League at Wedgewood Lanes.
Mrs. Grant retired in 1995 as a technician for Giant Eagle Pharmacy in Austintown.
Mr. Grant, a member of Kay Lanes Bowling League, retired in 1988 from the shipping department of Copperweld in Warren.
The Grantzes are being encouraged to take a vacation to Florida in the near future.
