Grossens celebrate 60th anniversary with dinner, trip


NEW WATERFORD — Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Grossen of New Waterford were joined by family members as they celebrated 60 years of marriage on March 12 during a private dinner and a trip to the Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh.

The former Mary Bell and Mr. Grossen were united in marriage on that date in 1949 at Christ Lutheran Church in Struthers. They are active members of Zion Lutheran Church.

Mr. Grossen operated Crystal Springs Fruit Farm and retired from Lawless Industries in North Lima, where he was a welder.

Prior to retiring, Mrs. Grossen was a purchasing agent with General Electric in Youngstown for 18 years

The couple have four children, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Their family includes Thomas Grossen, Joyce and Keith Keslar, and Sandy and Jay Nunamaker, all of New Waterford; and Paul Grossen of Cleveland. Their grandchildren and their spouses are Chris and Michele Grossen, and Amy Grossen, all of Madison, Ind.; Jill and James Kallas, Nathan and Melisa Nunamaker, and Sara Nunamaker, all of New Waterford, and Tim and Lindsey Keslar of New Orleans, La.
